INSEAD Startup Bootcamp

ok... so it's not this bad. but it's an intense weekend in p2 at insead where fledgling ideas become real business plans and pitched to investors in less than 48 hours.

what:  entrepreneurship startup bootcamp
where:  off-campus
when:  a weekend in p2 (sometimes offered more than once)
for whom:  for 40 of those who have ever wanted to start their own businesses or join startups
host:  insead professor
cost:  ~300 euros (for accommodation and meals)

this was my experience. a school-wide email goes out announcing the bootcamp. students start talking. ideas start forming. a week later,
1:00pm - email to register for the bootcamp is out
1:02pm - bootcamp is sold out
1:03pm - there is a lot of crying

when the weekend rolls around, the lucky 40 board a bus to their bootcamp destination not far from campus.
be prepared for a ride:
ideas are tossed around and pitched
ideas are pre-selected
teams are formed
names are created
roles are designated
then hour by hour, every section of the business plan and pitch is worked on
pitches are practiced
investors arrive
the pitching begins
winners are announced

you will be tired but you will be amped. either the entrepreneurship bug will hit you and you will work on your idea in NBV, ISP, EFS, or BPW classes or you will consider consulting. either way, you will come out of the bootcamp with something new. my team came up with an idea that we still talk about this day!

good luck!
