if you have ever seen leonardo dicaprio's movie, the beach... you know koh phi phi, the beautiful backdrop of the film. and yes, folks, it's that beautiful!

the setting is paradise. the bays close by are gorgeous. the nightlife is a balance of chill and crazy.

one of the best bays is maya... our skipper dropped us off early in the morning to beat the crowds. it was breathtaking.

after the snorkeling, swimming and kayaking around koh phi phi, we joined the party-goers beachside. we bar hopped from beach bar to beach bar, participating in the fire dance shows, limbo, and dance contests. finally we took over one bar where we group glowlit-skip-roped and danced the night away.

another huge mention is the mango. i don't know what it is about thailand but they have the most heavenly mangoes around. creamy, sweet, juicy... tastes almost like ice cream. delicious. get your hands on some of them!
