Lotte World, Seoul
lotte world is south korea's answer to disneyland. and having grown up as a california kid with disneyland near and dear to my heart, i did not go to lotte world with high expectations.
but i was wrong.
the first time i went to lotte world was in 1989 within few months of its opening. my cousins and i ran around this gigantic indoor theme park. my favorite ride of the day was pirate ship, swaying up and down in a half circle shape. i remember how good the park food was and how fantastic it was to be indoors while it was raining outside.
a revisit to lotte world... it's so much more than just an amusement park. it's a city of its own complete with a museum, sports center, hotel, shopping mall and eateries galore. children and adults alike can enjoy this world. and like disneyland, it is couples paradise!
the best part? it's open 365 days a year during the day and at night. that's right... it's open all year round including holidays.
admission is ~$25.
have fun!
tiptoe around south korea...
xoxo
