Baking at Shangri-La - INSEAD

i love to bake! i did not get the chance to bake as often as i'd like at insead but i made a few treats every once in a while to share with shangri-la housemates and friends. was it because of the lack of time? sure. was it the lack of ingredient options? naturally. but mostly, it was because the oven did not work the way i expected it to work. souffles never puffed. homemade puffed pastry never puffed. brownies never cooked right. cookies never reached the right chewiness. after a few fails early in the year, i put away my baking gloves for a while. that is until easter...

EASTER BRUNCH at shangri-la was with all the insead ladies... it took a full day of grocery shopping and another day of time in the kitchen but the baked goods were all worth the time and effort. here are some of the goodies that came out on easter sunday:
