for one, 3-5 euro bottles of good quality wine...
must not forget the camembert and other soft cheeses...
the foie gras, rabbit, lamb, filet...
obviously the best bakeries and breads you can find...
but all of this served in the amazingly grand chateaus made the fontainebleau area legendary.
we partied in four main chateaus: fleury, tavers, villecerf and montmelian.
FLEURY - a chateau within walking distance from shangri-la... my favorite chateau to sip champagne and dance the night away. mediterranean cruise, 007, spring fling... invite only, i'm afraid.
TAVERS - the regular party chateau and band practice spot with the dungeon and indoor sauna. professors have been known to frequent this spot.
VILLECERF - home of the famous halloween parties and late night food trucks, this is one of the best houses to have outdoor events.
MONTMELIAN - reopened for our party delight in 2011, montmelian has a dramatic entry way with a tennis court and large outside grounds for tented get-togethers. good bbq and opening parties.
last but not least, we have also partied at the chateau of chateaus in fontainebleau... none other than the
CHATEAU DE FONTAINEBLEAU - where every event there is black tie and without fail an endless flow of champagne.
lucky are those who live in some of these gorgeous castles!
